Prayer is synonymous with song. Either is appropriate when prayer is needed. Prayer and song were an integral part of everything we do. If something from the earth is needed a prayer and offering are given. Our songs have a healing quality to them. We have certain songs for different ceremonies. There are songs for giving thanks, welcoming, honour, traveling, dancing, the animal spirits, veterans and flags. Song has the power to create harmony and stir the intimate world of interconnectedness between nature and humankind with the breath of life.
