Interviewing a Community Member Who Works as a Manager

Create a list of community members who are employed or otherwise engaged in a managerial role and have students arrange to interview a number of these people.

Create a list of interview questions that would provide information on the roles and responsibilities of managers and on any changes that they have noticed in their role over time. What skills do they predict will be needed by the next generation of managers?

Online Search Suggestion: "how to conduct an interview" +steps

A chart is a useful way to summarize the responses of different managers.

The data can be compiled either by students creating their own spreadsheet file and then pasting their data into a master copy in a shared drive, or by posting the data to a wiki.

Some sites, such as Edublogs.org, provide a free wiki space when you set up a blog.
