Word Processing

Introduction & Module Overview:

  • The purpose of this module is to provide students with the opportunity to increase their skills in using word processing applications. Activities and tasks will focus on planning, formatting and editing skills.
  • Students can be expected to manipulate data efficiently and effectively, to enter text, create documents, display text, edit and revise documents, and manage and print files as required. The following activities will provide some guidelines for features of word processing software that may be used to process documents.
  • Although each module of Information Processing 30 has its own individual learning objectives, activities and lesson, it is recommended, whenever possible, that teachers integrate assignments completed in other modules to enhance the students learning and applications of these skills.
  • Information Processing 30 does not have any prerequisite courses attached to it, therefore students may be at varying levels. Beginner students with little word processing experience should work through some Word Processing Review Tutorials before working through the rest of this module - they may have to do this on their own time.
