Colour CorrectionOne of the neatest things that a user can do with digital pictures is to fix up or change the colour of their photographs. What was once only a process done by professional developers is now a few simple steps that anyone can accomplish. In the tutorials that follow, you can learn how to fix the colour so that parts of your image can become more visible or stand out altogether. You can also learn how to change the colour of parts of your image to bring out a particular part of your image or just to make it look different. Finally, there is a tutorial that teaches you how to change a colour image into a black and white image which can totally change the dynamics of your photo. Enjoy! Activity One: Click here to get a picture that needs repair. Save it as river and open it up in your photo editing program. Use the tutorials above to help you in fixing the colour issues. Save your image as river_finished and submit to your teacher. Activity Two: Take a picture of your friend or teacher. Save it as change and open it up in your photo editing program. Use your knowledge gained in the tutorials above to change the hair, lips and shirt of your subject. Save as colourchange_finished and submit to your teacher. Activity Three: Take a picture of the area outside and around your school. Try to take a picture of a landscape or nature scene. Save it as outside and open it up in your photo editing program. Change the saturation of the picture so that it is a black and white photograph. Save as outside_finished and submit to your teacher.
