This site contains an applet that provides a series of Venn diagram
questions. For each question, you are provided with a venn digram and
asked to determine the region in which a given object belongs. If you
are uncertain how to use the applet, click on the How? button at the
top of the page for instructions. These definitions may assist you in
answering the venn diagram questions:
herbivore - an animal which only eats plants
feline - a member of the cat family
quadruped - an animal which walks on 4 legs
carnivore - an animal which only eats meat
nocturnal - an animal which is active at night
natural number - {1, 2, 3, ...}
whole numbers - {0, 1, 2, 3, ...}
prime number - a number which is only divisible by one and itself
rational number - a number which can be written as a fraction
constant - a term which has no variable
