In order to set up a webcam you need a quick-time compatible video camera and software for capturing the images and transmitting them and a computer.Below is a list of some of the software available.

Dual Platform Software:

MacIntosh System Software:

CoolCam 1.2.1 from Evological - shareware webcam application is compatiable with the Power Macintosh, PowerBook, iMac and iBook computers running Mac OS 8.5.  $20.00 US

Software for Windows Systems:

Webcam32 - PC software $30. US (including all future updates)
This software can be used as an HTTP image server, FTP client or a CGI backend. It also supports AVI file saving, modem dial-up and progressive JPEG images.
