Module Information

This module focuses on set. The activities will develop an awareness of the creation of illusion on stage with Set Basics, provide an opportunity to build Model Sets, construct a piece of Stage Scenery, and Decorate a piece of stage scenery. Principles of Theatre Safety in the domain of Set Design will also be discussed.

This module will illustrate the relationship between the script and the eventual set. It provides activities that will explore types of plays and styles of sets. It will provide a process to identify the demands of a script. The Director's interpretation and the communicating of ideas in the development of set design will also be explored.
