6.2 Considerations When Fitting a Costume

Actors need to move, sometimes they require a great range of mobility, and they need to adopt various postures. It is important their costuming should more likely be looser than tight to assure they are comfortable.

Also please support the comfort level of the actor in the way you collect the measurements. It is their body you are measuring, not yours.

Consider the following when fitting a costume:

  • heat
  • flexibility
  • materials
  • allergies
  • actability
