It is possible for a make-up artist to create the illusion of aging to a stage performer. This can work both ways but for our purposes we will look at how to turn someone young into someone old. This is an involved process and is often times a problem area for the inexperienced theatre arts department. |

Watch the slide show titled Aging. (swf) Use your Character Make-up Planning Schedule to plan out the aging process with pencil crayon as you watch. Now you are ready to try the application yourself. It is possible to do your own make-up but often more enjoyable to work with a partner. Either way, you will need to practice the aging process. |
